Born in 1967, Atiye Özel is an expressionist artist who reflects the emotions of her inner world and the spirit of the moment onto the canvas. Her artistic journey has been shaped by her early interest in painting and the training she has received from distinguished instructors in İzmir since 2010.

She does not follow specific rules or artistic movements in her work; each brushstroke is a natural reflection of what she feels and experiences in the moment. She moves freely between the abstract and the concrete; sometimes a flower, sometimes a city, and sometimes simply the feeling of a moment finds its way onto the canvas. Nothing is pre-planned; it is entirely intuitive and organic.
The source of her creative inspiration lies in the sense of peace in her life and her ability to observe.
